What a hell of a debut. 14 strikeouts and a win. I watched the game on MASN and wanted to go to the stadium but I will save it for another day in July or August or September, who knows. One thing I do know is that I watched one of the best pitchers to come along in awhile. I realize that this performance was not against the Phillies, Mets, Braves or any other team that you might legitimately say could have rocked the young kid, but it was still impressive.
The Nats might actually contend this year. They have some live bats and if they can get the bullpen to respond you just never know. I think a nice couple of series wins and or sweeps and I can see this Nats team in the NL East lead within a month.
